Due to Prabodhan Kridabhavan, Goregaon is bestowed with the unique gift of large playground which is well developed as well as well maintained, making it an ideal place for grand sports tournaments. Shri. Subhash Desai arranged the first Interschool Sports Meet in January 1979 which laid the foundation of similar events to be arranged in the future. Though it was the first effort on the part of Prabodhan Goregaon to widen the sphere of activities, it won the hearts of the young participants, the school authorities and also the spectators whose cheering and clapping electrified the events. The First ‘Sports Meet’ turned out to be a well organized and disciplined ‘Mini Olympic’ with 800 participants from 22 schools displaying their talents.
       Shri. Subhash Desai’s strict approach for perfectness and advanced planning for each and every minute to broad issues in any tournament is reflected in the well organisation and success of Interschool Sports Meet which are organised every year adding to the pride of Goregaon residents, the participants and ofcourse the organisation itself. The Interschool Sports Meet has become an Arena for students in various schools eager to show their talent to world, waiting for an opportunity to move on in the field of sports. This meet has become a landmark waited the most by students, parents and spectators as well.
       The participating schools, candidates and spectators gratitude towards ‘Prabodhan Goregaon’ and Shri. Subhash Desai for providing this event, is just beyond the words.
