He believes that Books are the best teachers and preachers for anybody. With a sole aim of providing quality reading material available to society people at nominal cost Shri. Desai started a library (Vachanalaya) in 1972 for kids as Prabodhankar Thackeray Library. Recently this library was renovated and a new spacious, comfy and more organized edifice was inaugurated on 22nd February,2009. Numbers of facilities are given in this library like an array of 16000 quality books on number of topics viz. Literature, Poems, Stories, Autobiography, Kids, Information Technology, References, History, Political, Economy, Social issues etc. Full automation powered by a tailor-made software designed to make visitors experience in the library smooth and efficient has made this library one of its kind – a proud for Goregaon residents. |
