Thoughts though might seem to be ideal will be in vain if not implemented practically, as it happens with many. But Shri. Subhash Desai is an exception towards this. He does not just think about the masses but he actually takes substantial steps to make his dreams a reality. Number of events and ventures pioneered by Shri. Subhash Desai are successfully helping Goregaon Residents over the years. He has always tried to make the help available for truly needy people.
Through 'Prabodhan Goregaon' he has done social work on the basic principles of Knowledge, Art, Sports and Welfare. Right from the beginning Prabodhan has been working for the socially deprived people. In the same direction on the occassion of 'Gudhipadwa' in 1978 Shri. Desai started 'Balwadi' - a free pre-priamry education facility for poor children in slum area who are normally deprived from this basic education due to scarcity of monetary funds. The first 'Balwadi' was opened in Jawahar nagar wherein 30-35 students were benefitted in the first year itself. After that this proved to be a main step in social reformation from roots. To make available the benefits of this project for economically poor section all over Goregaon, in Koyana Nagar (Goregaon East) also a branch was opened up.
Now more than 20 students are benefitted every year with this quality pre-primary education facility. The students also get a certificate from trust and based on same they can get admission in any primary education school in Goregaon. The disciplined students formation in this school is also due to the sincere efforts by Sau. Shalini Varese. It has been observed that the students learning the base from this venture have shown their brightness in other spheres of life thereafter as well.
Knowledge makes the man perfect and a perfect man leads to perfect society. The cultural ethics along with academic education from small age has given rise to many wise and clever citizens. Goregaon residents always wish that this venture for giving ethical education to slum area kids should get more and more success day by day. |
