While giving candidature for Shivsena Party Hon. Shivsenapramukh Shri. Balasaheb Thackeray specifies clearly – ‘If and only if you want to serve to masses then only you should stand for elections.’ I was not an exception to this. Following the instructions by Hon. Balasaheb Thackeray, right from the 1st day of my election victory I started reaching to each and every corner of Goregaon. The developmental ventures were implemented giving priority to the requirement, demands and likes-dislikes of Goregaon’s residents. Slum area, Old Chawls, Societies – nothing was excluded. The poor people from Goregaon were compelled to go for toilets on open air. To avoid this basic problem I insisted on constructing public toilets. More than thousand public toilets were constructed and almost same were also repaired. This proved to be a major step towards our ‘CLEAN GOREGAON’.
While paying attention to construction of Balawadi  (Pre-primary education) - Samaja Mandire - Halls (Sabha Mandap), the old leaking water pipelines were also changed alongwith insisting on borewell jobs. Paver blocks and concretization was also done at number of public places. For teenagers, children and youth gardens development, Sports equipments distribution, Swings for kids, Cricket kit, Caroms distribution gave pleasure to many. Though delayed due to illegal trespassing, the restarting of Brahmachari Vishwanathaji Garden was welcomed by public.
Sau. Meenatai Thackeray Blood Bank gave life to 30,000 patients in last 5 years span. Platelets were supplied by the Blood Bank. For pediatric patients of thalassemia ‘Thalassemia Centre’ has been started. The winded up Nirlon Swimming Pool was replaced with the ‘Ozone’ Swimming Pool which has proved one of its kind in Mumbai, favorite of thousands. Just besides Joggers Park, ‘Prabodhankar Thackeray Library’ edifice stood up with pride. Under the same roof Studyroom for students, Chess Academy, Yoga Academy started off. The project giving me real satisfaction was ‘Prabodhan Medicine Bank’. None of the Goregaon residents should get panic for medicines is the motto behind development of this Medicine Bank.
While these developments were in full swing on one side, Shivsena’s protest and fight for common man was at it’s peak. The Road broadening project by removing ‘Surbhi’ became famous, but protest against Electricity Rates Hike and protest for turning Goregaon East station area ‘No Hawkers Zone’ is also being looked after very seriously by regular Chain Protest. The credit for ICU department and Sonology department in Siddharth Hospital also goes to the strong protest by Shivsena.
Goregaonkars experienced the real solace with the grand functions rather festivals of ‘Sawarkar Utsav’, ‘Samarth Utsav’, ‘Mumbai Festival’ and ‘Jaanata Raja’. The Shivasainik’s efforts were behind this successful organisation. The hardwork, the nonstop help offered by Shivasainik in the 2005 Flood Disaster in Mumbai, is just unforgettable.
The indispensable support by Hon. Balasaheb’s blessings, Hon. Uddhavaji’s guidance and valuable support, Shivsena Leaders – Authorised dignitaries – Women Front – Vidyarthi Sena – Commercial Department’s participation; are behind all these social work - projects & programs. I would like to remain in debts of these all for their support.
For our Goregaon three more flyovers, pedestrian bridges, Two Massive Gardens, Government offices building and Hall, BMC’s Natyagriha, Section Office in new edifice, Topiwala Market’s Renovation are few of the projects which will be completed soon and their pre-procedures are in full swing. Our dream of ‘Clean Goregaon’ will also come true but ofcourse I need your active support for this project.
